Job Title:Supply Chain - Materials Manager

We have an opportunity for a Materials Manager (Machinery) at our Corporate Office who will manage key materials related functions such as purchasing, inventory control and supply planning in support of Machinery Operations and Spare Parts. Coordinates and controls these activities to ensure that all goods and services required are available and accurate.



1.     Execute purchases for goods and services, direct and indirect materials, for Machinery. Responsible for timely delivery and good quality from supply base.


2.     Manages planning and inventory levels. Responsible for the daily order activities for the shop floor, balancing inventory levels and availability while keeping inventory within company targets. Leads physical inventories and cycle counts. Accountable for gross inventory value and inventory accuracy.


3.     Works closely with Machinery Operations, Engineering, Corporate Supply Chain and Sales to execute company strategies, new product launches, implementing ECN’s and other initiatives.   


4.     Benchmarks supply management processes and develops and implements best practices for Machinery Operations. Optimizes or improves upon the usage of business systems, processes and tools as applied to the Machinery supply chain.


5.     Leads and mentors the Machinery supply chain group. Provides learning and skill set growth opportunities. Envourages training opportunities.  

  1. BA/BS degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations or related field required. MBA preferred. 
  2. 5 years of experience in supply chain in a manufacturing environment required, in roles of progressive responsibility. Previous supervisory experience preferred. 
  3. CPIM or CPM certification preferred.
  4. Experience with ERP and Microsoft applications.
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills necessary to converse with a diverse group of stakeholders including senior management.
