New Autobag® CBAR and WBAR High-Barrier Packaging Films

STREETSBORO, OH – February 13, 2007 – Automated Packaging Systems, the leader in high-reliability packaging systems, has introduced new CBAR and WBAR high-barrier, co-extruded films. These new products offer high-barrier properties at a 2.5 mil gauge, providing a competitively priced option to military spec and other high-barrier materials.
Both the CBAR and WBAR products offer a very low Moisture Vapor Transfer Rate (MTVR) and Oxygen Transfer Rate (OTR), and both are extremely strong and durable. “These new nine-layer films are ideal for water, grease and odor

proof packaging,” said Tim Groff, Director of Marketing for Automated Packaging Systems. “They complement our line of new military spec packaging films by offering cost-effective, high-barrier performance for applications that do not need the mil spec compliance,” he added.
WBAR and CBAR bags-on-a-roll are system-matched to run on Autobag packaging machinery, and will typically improve both throughput and productivity up to 40 percent over traditional hand-load packaging processes.
