Automated Packaging Systems will feature its CTS4000 Clean Towel System at the Clean ’09 show.
The CTS4000, the next-generation in Autobag® shop towel bagging systems, is capable of bagging over 4,000 towels per hour. State-of-the-art technology advancements include an accumulating Smart Funnel system, our easy-to-use AutoTouch™ operator interface, and real-time productivity data tracking.
Packed with features, the CTS4000 incorporates a large field eye detection system, which counts towels as they are

| loaded into the bag. An audible, blocked-eye alarm helps to ensure counting accuracy. The accumulating Smart Funnel enables continuous loading during the bag sealing/cycling process, increasing packaging speeds. The funnel opens into the bag for positive product entry, and combines with a powerful air-assist system and enhanced bag grippers to provide a large, pre-opened bag area for optimal loading conditions. A bag-out sensor alerts the operator when the bag supply is running low, ensuring seamless changeovers, and a Bag Shaker automaticallyactivates to settle the product and maximize the capacity of the bag.
The operator-friendly AutoTouch™ Control Screen provides easy access to job set-up, job recall, and on-board system diagnostics. Real-time productivity statistics are displayed locally, along with audible and visual alert systems that signal cycle changes in the bagger. Remote, real-time productivity monitoring is also available using Ethernet communications technology. Modular Replace-n-Repair™ components ensure maximum uptime.

The CTS4000 Clean Towel System can be integrated with a variety of infeeds, conveyors and accessories. An optional inline infeed hopper easily integrates into existing, sling-fed production lines. A Scrap Rejection Bin can also be added to track and decentralize items needing re-wash. The unit’s take-away conveyor transports filled bags from the floor to storage tote bins.
Using genuine, system-matched Autobag brand poly bags, the CTS4000 offers a fast and cost-effective packaging solution.
