Autobag® Baggers Offer Speed and Accuracy for Industrial Bag Packaging

17 September 2013 – Automated Packaging Systems, the world leader in high-reliability bag packaging systems, has introduced the Autobag® AB 180 Bagging System designed for industrial packaging applications, including hardware fasteners, electrical parts, plumbing supplies, and many other small parts suitable for bag packaging.

The AB 180 operates at speeds up to 80 bags per minute and is ideal for packaging small to medium products in bags up to 28 cm wide and 56 cm long. The system is available as a stand-alone bagger, can be combined with an inline thermal transfer imprinter for a complete Print-n-Pack configuration. This printer applies graphics, text and barcodes directly on to the bag, eliminating the need for a separate labeling operation. The AB 180 is ideal for hand load operation, or fully automatic operation using Autobag and third-party counters, scales and conveyors. Job set-up, storage and recall are easily accessible through the AutoTouch User Interface, which also provides access to on-board diagnostics, productivity data, and more.

Product changeovers are completed in less than two minutes using genuine Autobag pre-opened bag on a roll materials. A wide variety of film types are available, from standard linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) to greaseproof/waterproof co-extruded materials. Autobag bags are available in plain styles, or with custom features such as hanger holes and compartments, and can be pre-printed in up to 10 colors for unique packaging that attracts customer attention.

The Autobag AB 180 and other bag packaging systems will be on display in the Automated Packaging Systems stand #F240 at Feira Movimat, 17-19 September in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
